Harris Organic Brandy (750mL) is the only certified organic aged brandy (Australian Cognac style) over 10 years old with two awarded bronze medals from the Perth Royal Spirits Show.
Australian Brandy
This Australian brandy has a very smooth palate filled with complex characters that include caramel, toffee, notes of orange, vanilla, smoky spice and cloves. This aged brandy has no added sulphites or other chemicals or filtering agents. ie No additives, perfumes, oils, sugar, gluten, fat, or acid added in this product, just grapes and rainwater. 40% alc. N.B., there may be fine harmless sediment in each bottle as it is not chill-filtered.
We are proud to be the only certified distillery in Australia making our brandy spirit. Such a dedicated approach to creating our alcohol is rarely seen in the industry and offers you a first-hand experience from vine to bottle. Double-distilled using a wood-fired pot still this hand-made brandy is evocative of the old brandies made at Cognac in France.
Once the organic brandy spirit has been collected from the wood-fired pot still it is placed in a small oak cask in the underground cellar to mature for a minimum of 3 years (our bottles are labelled with the distillation and the bottling dates). The volume is 750mL and the alcohol content is 40%.
What is XO Brandy?
XO Australian Brandy is a brandy that is over 10 years old. This organic brandy is a blend of the first vintages from Harris Organic cellars. XO Brandy is created from eaux-de-vie aged in a cask for at least ten years. XO stands for "Extra Old".
What does the Brandy Label say?
Harris Organic XO Brandy says it is at least 7 years old on the back label. The current release from vintage 2010 onwards is therefore over 10 years old.
