Harris Organic XO Brandy (750mL) is the only certified organic brandy in Australia over 10 years old. This is a single vintage brandy, made in 2009.
This brandy has a very smooth palate filled with complex characters that include caramel, toffee, notes of orange, vanilla, smoky spice and cloves. This preservative-free Brandy has no sulphites or any other chemicals or filtering agent added. ie No additives, no perfumes, no oils, no sugar, gluten-free, no fat, no acid added in this product, just grapes and rainwater. 40% alc. NB there may be fine harmless sediment in each bottle as it is not filled filtered. See youtube for info on chill filtering.
We are very proud to be the only certified distillery in Australia making organic brandy spirit. Such a dedicated approach to creating our own alcohol is rarely seen in the industry and offers you a first-hand experience from vine to bottle. Double-distilled using a wood-fired pot still this hand-made brandy is evocative of the Extra old XO brandys made at Cognac in France.
Once the eaux-de-vie has been collected it is placed in a small oak cask in the underground cellar to mature for a minimum of 3 years (our bottles are labelled with the distillation and the bottling dates). Volume is 750mL and alcohol content is 40%. XO stands for "Extra Old": XO brandys are made only from eau-de-vie at least ten years old. Brandy such as "Napoleon" is now younger than XO cognac being over 6 years old.
A review: I have tasted your product and I have also tasted normal commercial VSOP brandy, and I really like the taste of yours. Prompt delivery of your products is also very good, in view that it is shipped from Australia. On the packaging, I noticed it has the shop "Security Screened". I guess that is because the description is only "personal" to avoid import custom issues, so the staff and customs department do not know what it is. I think it shouldn't affect its taste much.
